Special Resident Retiree's Visa (SRRV)

PRIVILEGES

The Special Resident Retiree's Visa (SRRV) entitles the holder to multiple-entry privileges with the right to permanent residence in the Philippines. The SRRV is issued by the Bureau of Immigration of the Republic of the Philippines in connection with the Philippine Retirement Authority's Retirement Program for the foreigners and former Filipinos.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Foreigners (except those classified as RESTRICTED) and former Filipinos who are at least 35 years old, physically healthy and with no derogatory record can join the program.

Applicant's spouse and the unmarried children under 21 years of age, may be issued the same visa.

STEP 1: DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS

All applicants must open a US dollar time deposit for a term of 6 months at the Bank of Commerce, Chinatrust (Phils.) Commercial Bank, Equitable PCI Bank or Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company. The amounts of deposits are as follows:

  • US $ 1,500.00 for former/overseas Filipinos
  • US $ 50,000.00 for those 50 years old and above
  • US $ 50,000.00 for those 35 to 49 years and are retired military personnel of governments recognized by RP; former members of foreign diplomatic corps who have served for at least 3 years or retired officers and employees of international organizations such as the UN, WB, WHO.
  • US $ 75,000.00 for those 35 to 49 years

STEP 2: BANK SENDS PRA CERTIFICATION OF INWARD REMITTANCE

STEP 3: APPLICANT GOES TO FOREIGN SERVICE POST FOR AUTHENTICATION OF DOCUMENTS AND APPLIES FOR TOURIST VISA

  • Medical Examination form duly authenticated by the Foreign Service Post ( valid for 6 months)
  • Police Clearance from home country duly authenticated by the Foreign Service
  • Authenticated Marriage contract if spouse is joining applicant
  • Authenticated Birth Certificate if dependent is joining applicant

Fees:
Authentication : US $ 25.00
Visa (single entry) : US $30.00

STEP 4: APPLICANT SUBMITS THE FOLLOWING TO PRA

  • PRA application form with six pieces of 2 x 2 photographs and 6 pieces of 1 x 1 photographs
  • Valid passport
  • Medical Examination Form No. 11 accomplished by a licensed physician from the applicants place of origin, duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post or PRA Medical Certificate (RSSC Form #002) accomplished by a licensed physician in the Philippines.
  • Police Clearance issued abroad and duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post, or National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in the Philippines valid for at least 6 months
  • Certification by a PRA shortlisted bank of the requisite deposit amount of US$1,500.00, US$50,000 or US$75,000.00 whichever is applicable.
  • If the spouse is joining the applicant, original copy of Marriage Contract if the applicant's marriage was solemnized in the Philippines or original copy of Marriage Certificate duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate nearest to the applicant's residence abroad if the marriage was contracted abroad.
  • If dependent/s is/are joining the applicant, original copy of Birth Certificate/s of dependent/s born in the Philippines or Birth Certificate/s or Household Register duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate nearest the applicant's residence abroad
  • Photographs, 1" × 1" and 2" × 2", six (6) pieces each.
  • Payment of a total of US$2,000.00 (for 35 to 49 years of age) of US$1,500.00 (for 50 years and above) as service and processing fees and US$1,500.00 for former and overseas Filipinos.

Processing Fee US 1,300.00 for 50 years and above and former Filipinos
US 1,800.00f for 35 to 49 years
Service Fee US 200.00 per applicant
US 100.00 per dependent/ spouse
Conversion Fee P 7,600.00 for spouse/dependent 16 years and above
P 7,350.00 for dependent 14-15 years old
P 6,850.00 for dependent below 13 years
Express Lane P 500.00 per person

STEP 5: IF APPLICATION IS APPROVED, PRA, ENDORSES AN APPROVAL TO BUREAU OF IMMIGRATION FOR ISSUANCE OF SRRV
